How do I fix a 404 Page cannot be found error on my website?

If your website displays a 404 Page not found error, this means the web page or domain you are trying to visit does not exist. We suggest checking the following:
  1. Ensure the web page has been uploaded to the appropriate location on your account
  2. Check the file permissions for the referenced web page and ensure that HTML/PHP files are set to 644 (rw-r-r) and that the directory containing the file is set to 755 (rwx-rx-rx)
  3. Using WHOIS, check that the domain is registered and pointing to Netfirms nameservers: ns1.netfirms.com and ns2.netfirms.com.
