How do I resolve a phpBB error message when posting?

In phpBB, if attempting to post a topic or make a post/reply, the following error may occur if your account is configured for php version 5:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /mnt/web_r/d23/s17/b01fc10e/www/forum/nfphpbb/posting.php on line 547

To remove this error, reset your account to php v4:

1. Login to the Netfirms Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com

2. Click Settings

3. Click Hosting

4. From the PHP pull-down menu, select the PHP version
5. Click Update
