If you are installing a third-party application that requires the use of a MySQL database, you can follow the instructions below to create a database on your Netfirms account:
2. Click Hosting
3. Choose Databases
4. Click MySQL
5. Click Add
5. In the Description box, enter a description of the new database
6. Click Create
7. The screen will return with your database id, username, password, and host server address. We suggest that you write this information down so you can refer to it when you install your third-party application.
If you forget or misplace your database information, you can retrieve it by following these steps:
1. Repeat steps #1-4 above
2. For the database you wish to recover the password for, click the plus sign to the left of the Database Name
3. Click the Password tab
