How do I add a username to a MySQL database?

To add a username to a MySQL database please follow these instructions:

1. Log into the Netfirms Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click Hosting
3. Choose Databases
4. Click MySQL
5. Click Add
6. Click Add Database User
7. In the Database pull-down menu, choose the database you wish to add a user account to,
8. In the Type pull-down menu, choose the level of permissions you wish to assign to the new user account you are creating.

NOTE: Read and Write permissions will assign administrative privileges to the user account. Read only will assign non-administrative privileges

9. Click Add User

10. Write down the User Type, User Name, and Password for future reference
