To configure a form handler in NetObjects please watch this movie demo or follow the steps below:
Part I 1. First you will have to create the form page using NetObjects. You may also choose to create a thank-you/confirmation page that you want to be displayed after the form submission. This "thank-you" page will have to be uploaded to your site too; for example you will have it at http://yoursite.com/thankyou.html
2. Then create the form and add all the features the form needs, for example boxes, check mark boxes, radio buttons, the submit button, etc Use the Form Tools.
Part II After the page is designed and the form is created correctly then follow the steps below:
1. In Page view, click anywhere in the form (except on a form object).
2. On the Properties palette (click View, Properties Palette from the tool bar) click the Settings button.
For a text box form, look for the Settings button on the Text Box tab. For other forms, look on the General tab.
3. From the Form Settings box specify:
-Form name: Type a name for the form. -Action: Type the URL to the CGI script on a server. To use Netfirms' pre-installed script, enter: /cgi/formmail (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)
If you would like to use your own form handler script and it is already on the server, enter its URL here; for example:
http://www.host.com/myaccount/fusionproject/assets/cgi-bin/myscript.cgi
-Select the Method: Post
4. To add the e-mail address of the person to receive the e-mails sent through the form, use the Hidden fields in the Form Settings box: Click the plus symbol button (+) and enter the name as: recipient. Enter the e-mail address in the value field.
5. Click the OK button.
6. Click OK button.
