Most reputable Mail Service Providers do not accept large attachments through their network to minimize chances of routing viruses and trojans.
As such here are some guidelines to follow for sending attachments:
1. Ensure that the total size of your email including the attachment and message does not exceed 10MB. 2. To minimize size of your attachments, we suggest that you compress your
file attachments. A handy, free compression tool is available from
http://www.coffeecup.com/zip-wizard/ or http://www.7-zip.org/ (neither
has any affiliation to Netfirms). 3. We recommend that you make your larger file attachments available by
uploading them to your web account and providing access by either
having visitors to your website link to them or by providing secondary ftp account access to the files.
