A user may build a list of rules that will be used to determine if unsafe images will be shown in HTML messages. This one method to managed unsolicited/SPAM emails. To configure "Unsafe Image Rules" in Netfirms Webmail, please follow these instructions:

1. Login to Netfirms webmail at http://webmail.yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is your registered domain hosted by Netfirms)
2. Click "Options"
3. Click "Unsafe Image Rules"
4. Within this page the user may define a number of rules to determine when messages arefrom a trusted source.A message field (To, From, CC, Subject) can be matched either against a regular expression, orsimply searched to see if the given string is within the field. If a match isfound then unsafe images are always shown for this source.

Four options are seen above the rule list which are unchecked by default:

- The first states that all sources are to be trusted, not recommended as discussed above.
- The second option ('Trust sources in address book') will show unsafe images from any address listed in your personal address book.
- Third option ('Trust anything I send') will show unsafe images sent by any of your defined identities (useful if you are looking at your 'Sent' folder).
- The final option ('Trust defined sources') will search the options added below (entered by clicking the 'Add New Rule' link). If this option is unchecked then adding your own rules below is pretty pointless.

A new feature is the ability to quickly add the sender of an email containingunsafe images to the rule list by clicking the 'Add as Safe Sender' link whenthe message with unsafe images (i.e. after having clicked 'View Unsafe Images').The remaining options on this page control the behavior of that link.

- Always add full email address will add the complete email address of the sender to the rules as a strict match. This is the default action.
- Always add full domain will add only the domain name of the sender to the rules as a strict match.
- Always ask will prompt the user each time to allow them to modify the email address being added and also whether to make it a regular expression match, similar to the behavior that exists when adding a new rule.
