Once you have registered your domain at Netfirms, you can configure .Mac to host it and enable
iWeb's one-click publishing directly to your new domain name. NOTE: Domain masking to web.me.com (ie. domain masking one domain to another domain that is using
a CNAME to another service) is not supported. However you may utilize frame forwarding for your

To add a CNAME to point your domain to web.mac.com (allows you to publish your iWeb site to a personal domain), follow these steps:
A. Configure your web.mac.com service (refer to MAC's FAQ here: http://www.mac.com/1/mac_faq.html)
1. Browse to www.mac.com or www.me.com and log in.

2. Click Account in the left column on the .Mac homepage, and confirm your login.
3. On the Account Settings page, click the Personal Domain button, and then follow the instructions that appear.
4. When asked to enter your domain name, be sure to type the entire domain name that you've registered with Netfirms.

2. Open iWeb.
3. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet.
4. From the File menu, choose Set Up Personal Domain.
5. When the MobileMe login window appears, type in your account name and password and click Log In.
6. Read the information in the Domain Settings window and click Add Domain.
7. Enter your personal domain name in the Domain Name and Confirm Domain text fields and click Continue.
Note: Some
domain registrars require you to contact them to make this kind of
CNAME adjustment. Contact your own domain registrar for more
information.
Follow the instructions in the window and go to the website of your
registrar. You will be asked to enter your “www” CNAME. The CNAME for
your domain is “web.me.com”. Be very careful of the domain name you
enter, as some registrars require a period at the end of your domain
name, as in "web.me.com." .
As stated in the window’s text, it may take up to 48 hours for the change to occur. Click Done.
The final window displays your domain name. You have the option of removing the domain or going back to your account settings.B. Configure your CNAME via the Netfirms Control Panel:
1. When you see a screen confirming that .Mac is configured to host your domain, log in to your Netfirms Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click on the Domains tab
3. Click on the Admin button for your domain
4. Click the CNAME button for your domain
5. In the field where it asks for Subdomain enter www and for CNAME enter web.me.com and then click Modify.
NOTE: Please allow 24-48 hours for the CNAME change to take effect.
