For .com, .net, and .ca domains registered through Netfirms, you can make the contact information displayed in your domain's WHOIS private.
.com and .net
Follow these steps:
1. Login to the Netfirms Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click Domains
3. Click Admin
4. Click DNS Admin
5. "I agree to the Domain Privacy Terms of Service" check box should have a check mark
6. Click Enable
When your domain is private, Domain Privacy will be ON in the DNS Admin section of your domain.When your domain is private, your whois record will look similar to the following (where yourdomain.com is your domain registered domain; where
is an example of the contact email address your domain would be associated with and any communication sent to the private email address will be forwarded to your actual email address): Domain name: yourdomain.com

Individual Domain Name Holders (eg. Registrants whose Legal Type=Canadian Citizen, Permanent
Resident, or Aboriginal Peoples): Your
private information is protected by default.
Such .ca domains will mask/hide all personal contact information (ie.
domain number, registrant number, registrant name, admin contact, tech
contact, description). Only following information will be revealed
during a WHOIS search:
Registration Day
Registrar Number
DNS Name Servers
View and change your
status through the CIRA Registrant Web Interface:
1. Browse to: https://registrants.cira.ca/user
2. Under the heading
“Changing your privacy status”, click the “Turn privacy
OFF” button.
Corporate (Non-individual) Domain Name Holders
(eg. Registrants whose Legal Type is a Company or Corporation): WHOIS privacy will NOT be applied - corporate information is displayed by default.
Information may be protected only in special circumstances. The
Registrant who
is not an individual must certify to CIRA (CIRA in its sole
discretion will
make this determination) that it has a legitimate need
to
protect the privacy of its information) by completing the Change
