Please follow the instructions below to move or remove a domain from your account:
I. IMPORTING A DOMAIN FROM YOUR HOSTING ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER EXISTING HOSTING ACCOUNT:
A. Ensure the Domain to be Transferred does not have any existing Email Accounts
IMPORTANT: Download all important messages via a POP client (supported on all Netfirms premium hosting plans) or forward them to another email account first before removing any email/webmail accounts.
1. For the account that the domain you wish to transfer, login to the Netfirms Control Panel (

2. Click Email
3. For any email/webmail accounts created, select them using the checkboxes and click Delete
4. Click Email Forwarding
5. For any forwarding addresses created, select them using the checkboxes and click Delete
6. Click Logout
B. Import your Domain
8. Click Domains
9. Click Add
10. Choose the "Domain name import" option (click the corresponding radio button)
11. Enter the domain name, login, and password, of the member account you wish to import the domain from
12. Click Search and follow the onscreen prompts for a confirmation of the domain import
13. Once completed click Domains and you will see the domain listed
IMPORTANT:
(a) If you require email/webmail accounts for the newly imported domain, you can create them by clicking Email, provided that you have not consumed your email resources for your hosting plan.
(b)If you had a website for the domain you just imported, you will be required to upload the website files over to the account that the domain was imported to. We suggest that you create a folder named yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is the domain that you imported) and then upload all site files associated with this domain to this folder. Then create a forwarding rule for the domain you just imported. The forwarding rule can be created in the Control Panel for the account you imported the domain to. Simply access the Domain section and click the paper/pen icon and configure the forwarding location:
For example:
yourdomain.com should forward to /yourdomain.com /
II. DELETING OR EXPORTING YOUR DOMAIN OUT OF YOUR CURRENT HOSTING ACCOUNT
A. Ensure the Domain to be Transferred does not have any existing Email Accounts

1. For the account that the domain you wish to transfer, login to the Netfirms Control Panel (

2. Click Email
3. For any /emailwebmail accounts created, select them using the checkboxes and click Delete
4. Click Email Forwarding
5. For any forwarding addresses created, select them using the checkboxes and click Delete
6. Click Logout
B. Export a Domain Registered/Billed By Netfirms
2. Click "Domains"
3. Click "Admin "
4. Click "Export" and follow the onscreen prompts
IMPORTANT:
(a) If you require email/webmail accounts for the newly exported domain, you must create them in the Control Panel for the account that domain has been exported to (provided that you have not consumed your email resources for your hosting plan). Once in the Control Panel click Email and follow the onscreen prompts.
(b)If you had a website for the domain you just exported, you will be required to upload the website files over to the account that the domain was exported to. We suggest that you create a folder named yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is the domain that you imported) and then upload all site files associated with this domain to this folder. Then create a forwarding rule for the domain you just exported. The forwarding rule can be created in the Control Panel for the account you imported the domain to. Simply access the Domain section and click the paper/pen icon and configure the forwarding location:

OR
C. Remove a Domain Not Registered/Billed By Netfirms
A domain that is not currently being billed by Netfirms (ie. a domain you transfered to Netfirms via a DNS Transfer) may be removed from your current hosting account:

3. For the domain in question, click the appropriate checkbox
4. Click "Delete"
NOTE: By removing the selected domain names you will also remove all associated forwarding rules, A, MX and DNS records. If your domain pointer is registered through Netfirms, you will not be able to manage the domain nor renew it, once it expires.
5. Click "Remove"
