I. IMPORTING A DOMAIN FROM YOUR HOSTING ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER EXISTING HOSTING ACCOUNT:
A. Ensure the Domain to be Transferred does not have any existing Email Accounts or Email Forwards
IMPORTANT: Download all important messages via a POP client (supported
on all Netfirms premium hosting plans) or forward them to another email
account first before removing any email/webmail accounts.
1. For the account you wish to transfer your domain to, login to the
Netfirms Control Panel at
https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click
Email3. Click
Email Accounts4. For each email/webmail accounts created click the corresponding
Delete link
5. Click
Email
6. Click
Email Forwarding
7. For any forwarding addresses created click the corresponding Delete link
B. Import your Domain
8. For the account you wish to transfer your domain to, login to the
Netfirms Control Panel (
https://controlpanel.netfirms.com)
9. Click
Domains
10. Choose
Domain Manager11. click Add, transfer
12. Select the third option (Domain import from other Netfirms Account)
13. Enter the
Domain Name including www,
Member Name, and
Member
Password of the member account you wish to import the domain from
14. Click
Import and follow the onscreen prompts for a confirmation of
the domain import
Once completed click Domains and you will see the domain listed
IMPORTANT:
(a) If you require email/webmail accounts for the newly imported domain,
you can create them by clicking Email, provided that you have not
consumed your email resources for your hosting plan.
(b)If you had a website for the domain you just imported, you will be
required to upload the website files over to the account that the domain
was imported to. We suggest that you create a folder named
yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is the domain that you imported)
and then upload all site files associated with this domain to this
folder. Then create a forwarding rule for the domain you just imported.
The forwarding rule can be created in the Control Panel for the account
you imported the domain to. Simply access the Domain section and click
the paper/pen icon and configure the forwarding location:
For example:
yourdomain.com should forward to
/yourdomain.com/
II. DELETING OR EXPORTING YOUR DOMAIN OUT OF YOUR CURRENT HOSTING ACCOUNT
A. Ensure the Domain to be Transferred does not have any existing Email Accounts

4. For each email/webmail accounts created click the corresponding
Delete link

Email Forwarding
7. For any forwarding addresses created click the corresponding
Delete
link
B. Export a Domain Registered/Billed By Netfirms
8. For the account currently holding the domain you wish to transfer,
login to the Netfirms Control Panel (
https://controlpanel.netfirms.com)
9. Click
Domains
10. Choose
Domain Manager
11. For the domain you wish to export, click the corresponding plus sign
to the left of the
Domain Name
12. Click the Domain Export tab
13. From the
Choose Hosting Plan pull-down menu, choose a hosting plan
to export the domain to
14. Click
Continue
15. Follow the onscreen prompts to Review the Order Summary and enter
the
Billing and Credit Card Information
16. Enter the
Password you wish to use to login to the Control
Panel/primary FTP account
17. Click
Order
IMPORTANT:
(a) If you require email/webmail accounts for the newly exported domain,
you must create them in the Control Panel for the account that domain
has been exported to (provided that you have not consumed your email
resources for your hosting plan). Once in the Control Panel click Email
and follow the onscreen prompts.
(b)If you had a website for the domain you just exported, you will be
required to upload the website files over to the account that the domain
was exported to. We suggest that you create a folder named
yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is the domain that you imported)
and then upload all site files associated with this domain to this
folder. Then create a forwarding rule for the domain you just exported.

OR
C. Remove a Domain Not Registered/Billed By NetfirmsA domain that is not currently being billed by Netfirms (ie. a domain
you transfered to Netfirms via a DNS Transfer) may be removed from your
current hosting account:
1. Login to the Members Control Panel at
https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click
Domains
3. Choose
Domain Manager
4. For the domain you wish to remove, click the corresponding
Delete link
NOTE: By removing the selected domain names you will also remove all
associated forwarding rules, A, MX and DNS records. If your domain
pointer is registered through Netfirms, you will not be able to manage
the domain nor renew it, once it expires.
