How do I transfer a domain name I already own to my Netfirms account?

To transfer a domain name you already own to your Netfirms account please follow the steps below:

I. Creating a new Netfirms account

1. Begin the signup process at
http://www.netfirms.com
2. Select a hosting plan and proceed to Sign Up
3. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer to Netfirms
4. Select the DNS Transfer option
5. Click Search and follow the instructions to complete the sign up process.

II. Adding a Domain Name to an existing Netfirms account

1. Login to the Netfirms Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click Domains
3. Click Add
4. Choose the DNS Transfer radio button
5. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer
6. Click Search

You will now have to contact your domain registrar and ask them to change the name servers to:

Primary Name Server:
ns1.netfirms.com

Secondary Name Server:
ns2.netfirms.com

Note: It typically takes 24-72 hours for domains to be transferred by your domain registrar.
