In order to fully investigate the cause of a problem with sending an email to a recipient, we require a copy of the bounced message along with the full message header for the email message in question. To view the full message headers of an email message, please refer to the appropriate instructions below:
1. Open the email
2. Click "View Full Message Header"
3. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations.
AOL
1. Open the email and look for the Details link under the To address.
2. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy.
3. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Eudora
1. Inside the Eudora Inbox double-click on the email message to open it.
2. The email will open in new window, and a new menu will appear.
3. On the new menu click the Blah Blah Blah button to show all headers.
4. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy
5. To close the email window click the close window button near the top right. 6. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Hotmail (IE browser/Firefox 3)
1. Sign in to the Windows
Live Hotmail website with your Windows
Live ID.
2. In the left pane, click Mail.
3. In the folder list, click Inbox.
4. Right-click the message in the message list, and then click View
source. (The user name and password that you use to
sign in to any Windows Live, MSN, or Office Live sites and services. If
you have a Passport Network, Hotmail, or Messenger account, you can use
it as your Windows Live ID.) Hotmail (older versions)
1. Log into your Hotmail account.
2. Click on the Options link on the menu.
3. On the options page click on the Mail Display Settings link under the Additional Options column.
4. Look for the setting named Message Headers. Change the value to either Full or Advanced.
5. Click the Ok button on the bottom of the page to save the changes.
6. You can now go back to your Inbox and view your mail. The mail you view will display the full headers.
7. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy.
8. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Outlook 2000
1. Double-click on the email message to open it.
2. From the top menu click on View.
3. From the View menu click on Options.
4. A new window will appear displaying the full headers.
5. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy.
6. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Outlook Express
1. Inside the Inbox right-click on the email message. A context menu will appear. From this menu select Properties.
2. A new window will pop-up. Select the Details tab.
3. The details screen will show the full headers.
4. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy.
5. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Outlook 2007
1. Open a message.
2. On the Message tab, in the Options group, click the Dialog Box
Laucher Icon image.
3. In the Message Options dialog box, the headers appear in the Internet
headers box.
Yahoo Webmail
1. From your Inbox click on the email message to open it.
2. From the menu click the Full Headers link.
3. The page will reload and the full headers will be displayed.
4. Using the mouse, click and highlight the header text, then copy it to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting Copy.
5. You can then copy the full message header to an email and send to Netfirms support for further investigations
Microsoft Internet Mail
1. Open the email message.
2. From the menu click on File, then select Properties.
3. A new window will appear. Select the Details tab to display the full headers.
