How do I add many pictures at once to my Netfirms Picture Pro photo gallery? .: Netfirms 24/7 Support

You may upload many pictures at a time to your Netfirms Picture Pro photo gallery as long as you have already created an album.

There are 2 methods to do batch uploads:

FOR NON WINDOWS XP USERS:

A. FTP/Upload pictures to your hosting account
1. Connect to your Netfirms account using a FTP program
2. Upload the pictures into the ../albums/ directory

NOTE: Create a subdirectory under ../albums because the pictures should NOT be uploaded to the ../albums/userpics/ folder.

B. Transfer/publish pictures to Netfirms Picture Pro:
1. Log into your Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
2. Click the Site Tools tab
3. Under the "Applications" section, click Picture Pro
4. Locate the appropriate Netfirms Picture Pro installation and click the corresponding Admin link
5. Click the Batch Add Pictures
6. Click the Userpics link
7. Select the album in which to add these images to
8. Select the images you wish to upload
9. Click the Insert Selected Pictures button

FOR WINDOWS XP USERS:

1. Browse to your photo gallery (URL is displayed in your Control Panel in the Site Tools, Picture Pro section).

NOTE: membername is the userid for your Netfirms account; installation_directory is where you installed Netfirms Picture Pro

2. Login (assuming that the site owner has provided you with a username and password)

NOTE: Admin logins are not permitted when using the Windows XP function to batch upload pictures.

3. Edit your existing URL address in your browser to the following to include the following at the end of the Picture Pro URL: /xp_publish.php
4. Follow the onscreen prompts to download and install the cpg_pub_wizard.reg to your Windows XP computer
5. Follow the onscreen prompts to publish pictures from your Windows XP computer using the "Publish to the Web" option (Note: to see this option, click the View menu option from Windows Explorer and ensure no options have been chosen for the Explorer bar)
