Using Google Apps Email

Once Google Apps has been applied to your domain names you can begin using e-mail services through Google's servers.  There are three ways you can access your e-mail
  1. Webmail - http://mail.domain.com or http://google.com/a/domain.com (replace domain.com with your actual domain name)
  2. POP via an e-mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird
  3. IMAP via an e-mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird
Before we can begin using POP or IMAP with the Google Apps email account, these services must be enabled.

Enable POP/IMAP for Google Apps
  1. Log in to your admin e-mail account at http://mail.domain.com (where domain.com is your domain name).  You can obtain the admin@domain.com password from the Google Apps menu in your Netfirms Control Panel
  2. Once logged in, click on the Settings tab in the top right corner
  3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP

  4. Select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on
  5. Choose the action you'd like Gmail messages to take after they are accessed with POP or IMAP.
