How can I change the Registrant/Organization name of my registered .ca domain?

To proceed with your request for the registrant name/legal type change, please confirm the changes you require by replying back with the following:

1.  Your original CIRA username and password for your .ca domain name  (Optional.  If provided, this information will allow us to fully manage the process for you and expedite the request.)
2.  Your desired Administrative contact details (Full name, full address, telephone number, email address)
3.  Your desired Registrant name and type.
4.  Your credit card information which must include: the name of the credit card holder, the credit card number, expiry date, and CVV2 number.  This is needed as once the registrant name/legal type change has been completed, your domain will be extended by 1 year.  For your security, please contact us by phone with your credit card information, and quote the Interaction ID located in the subject line of this email .

Once we receive this information, we will begin the process of modifying the registrant name/legal type for your domain and we will follow-up with a confirmation once completed.

Please be aware of the following steps that you must complete within 7 days of Netfirms initiating a registrant name change on your behalf:

1.  You will receive an email from CIRA with your 'temporary' CIRA login details.  You must log in to the CIRA account and accept their terms of service in order to activate the new profile.

2.  You will receive an email from CIRA advising you of critical changes that must be approved.  You must log in to the 'losing' CIRA profile and approve the changes.

3.  Send a reply to support@netfirms.com advising us once you have approved the transfer in the losing profile (this step can be skipped if you gave us your login details)

4.  Netfirms will approve the transfer with CIRA

5.  You will receive an email from CIRA avising you of critical changes that must be approved in the NEW CIRA profile.  You must log in to the 'gaining/new' profile and approve the changes.

--Important note: Due to the need for manual verification from both Netfirms and the registrants involved, the $9.95 fee paid to initiate registrant name changes will be non-refundable.  If all steps are not completed within 7 days, the registrant name change will fail.
