If you are installing a third-party application that requires the use of a MySQL database, you can follow the instructions below to create a database on your Netfirms account:
2. Click Site Tools
3. Click Database Manager
4. Click Add New
5. Enter a description of the new database
6. Click Add to complete installation
7. The screen will return with your database id, username, password, and host server address. We suggest that you write this information down so you can refer to it when you install your third-party application.
If you forget or misplace your database information, you can retrieve it by following these steps:
1. From the Database Manager section of the Netfirms Control Panel, locate the Database you installed and click the corresponding Admin button
2. From here, you can obtain the database name (or database id), username, and host server address.
3. If you don't recall the password, click the Password button to change the password.
