How do I renew my domain name?

 

If your Billing information is current in your Netfirms Control Panel your domain, if purchased through Netfirms, will be attempted to auto-renew, as set out in our Terms of Service.

Alternatively, you may login to your Netfirms Control Panel to manually renew your domain yourself.

To renew your domain name you registered through Netfirms, please follow these steps:

1. Log into the Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com

2. Click Account

3. Under the Shopping

4. Click Product Renewal

5. For the domain you wish to renew, click Renew Now

NOTES:

Netfirms will send out an invoice notification to the e-mail address on file in your Netfirms Billing profile 30 days prior to the domain’s expiration. However it is impossible for Netfirms to guarantee the receipt of our notifications via e-mail because of various external systems involved. Netfirms takes all reasonable steps to ensure you are notified of your product renewals but you are ultimately responsible for the renewal of your Netfirms services.

For .com domains, a further notice is sent by the ICANN registry 5 days prior to your domain’s expiration date informing you of its upcoming expiration. As outlined in our Terms of Service, Netfirms will attempt an automatic renewal of your domain up to 7 days in advance of its expiration date to ensure no interruption of service. If this automatic renewal does not succeed due to issues with the credit card then we will attempt a courtesy phone call.

To maintain maximum integrity of your account, please refrain from sending us your credit card details over email.
