The registration of a new .com, .net or .org, .biz, and .info domain name typically takes between 24-72 hours.
.ca
The full registration of a new .ca domain name typically takes between 1-7 days as CIRA requires the registration of the .ca domain to be approved through their approval process. To allow registration of your .ca domain as quickly as possible, ensure that you either:
(a) reply to all CIRA emails (sent to the admin email contact you provided during the registration process)
OR
(b) login to your Netfirms Control Panel, click Domains tab, and for the .ca domain to be approved, click DNS Admin button and follow the CIRA prompts to approve the domain.
IMPORTANT: If after a week your domain name has not been registered, browse to CIRA's website (http://www.cira.ca) and do a WHOIS query on your .ca domain.
If the Status=APPRVL, that means you still need to approve the .ca domain registration (follow either step (a) OR (b) above).
OR
If the .ca domain appears to be available for registration, then no funds will have been charged to your credit card. Simply login to your Netfirms Control Panel. If there is a notice displaying "Please contact our Billing Department at 1-877-399-9909 or email us at billing@netfirms.com for futher information.", then please contact our Billing Department. If there is no notice, then simply re-register the .ca domain name from your Netfirms Control Panel: click Domains tab and then click Add and follow the onscreen prompts.
NOTE: You may update the nameservers listed for your domain only after your domain is fully registered.
