To purchase a dedicated IP address for your website, please follow these steps:
- Login to the Netfirms Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
- Click Account
- Choose Shopping
- Click Dedicated IP
- Follow the onscreen prompts
NOTES:
(i) A Dedicated IP may be purchased for $10 USD/month (or $12 CDN/month). We ask that you pay for the full year
(ii) Select a hostname from the hostname pull-down menu for the dedicated IP to be associated with the dedicated IP
IMPORTANT: If you have a dedicated IP for your website, you will be able to ftp to your web account only by membername.netfirms.com (where membername is the Netfirms member name assigned to your account as indicated in your Netfirms Welcome Letter). FTP via the IP or the domain name is not currently supported for accounts associated with a dedicated IP.
