You may set up a separate website for each of your domain names even if the domains reside on a single Netfirms hosting account:
A. Add Your Domain To Your Netfirms Hosting Account
If you require a new Domain Name:- Login to the Netfirms Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
- Click Domains
- Click Domains
- Click Add
- In the New Domain tab, enter the domain you wish to register
- Click Search
- Choose a Registation Term and click Continue
- Review your Order Summary
- Enter your billing information and credit card information
- (Optional) Update your billing profile
- Click Order
NOTE: Advantage and Business Hosting account owners are entitled to 2 or 5 free domains respectively.
Once
our Billing Department has completed the approval of your new order,
you will be able to register an additional domain (or initiate a
registrar transfer) for free from within the Netfirms Control Panel.
New orders are typically reviewed/approved within 24-48 hours.
If you already own your Domain Name:
- Login to the Netfirms Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
- Click Domains
- Click Domains
- Click the Transfer tab
Registrar Transfer
If
your domain is currently being billed through a different company, you
may do a registrar transfer of the domain to take advantage of
Netfirms' lowest domain pricing. Simply enter your domain name to the
Registrar Transfer section.
DNS Transfer
If
your domain is currently being billed through a different company, you
may do a registrar transfer of the domain to take advantage of Netfirms
lowest domain pricing by simply entering your domain name to the Registar Transfer section.
Once
you have initiated a transfer process you will need to ensure that the
Name Server information associated with your Domain Name so it is
hosted at Netfirms.
The Netfirms nameservers are: Primary Name Server:
ns1.netfirms.com
Secondary Name Server:
ns2.netfirms.com
Please also refer to Updating Nameservers to point to Netfirms for specific instructions on how to update your nameservers through your domain registrar.
Note: It typically takes 24-72 hours for domains to be transferred by your domain registrar.

B. Configure Your Domain
You can configure
which domain name to display in the web broswer address bar after
adding a new domain name to your account. This functionality is also
called Domain Masking and is commonly used to host multiple websites
within a single account. - Create a directory in your webspace for each Domain Name
- Login to the Netfirms Members Control Panel at https://controlpanel.netfirms.com
- Click Domains
- Choose Domains
- For the domain you wish to configure, click the plus sign towards the left of the Domain Name
- In the Source tab, enter the Home Directory or the Forwarding URL
Home Directory
If you type in a
relative path, the pointer domain in the browser will display the
content for that location of your web directory. The domain you typed
into the browser is the domain name visible in the browser address bar.
Example of a relative path (note the required trailing slash in the example below): /myotherdomain.com/

Forwarding URL
If you type in an absolute path in the Forwarding URL box, the domain will redirect to that URL, and display that name in the browser address bar.
Example of an absolute path: http://www.anywebsiteyouwish.com
HINT:
If you wish to point to a specific file, you must rename your file to
index.htm, index.html, or index.php and place the file into a folder.
NOTE: When forwarding a folder, the folder name must not contain any illegal characters (eg. underscores are not permitted).
